The Study and Research Group Weaving Cognitive Learning Networks (GTERCOA/CNPq), of the Federal University of Ceará (UFC), linked to the Regional Research Center (NUPER) of the Faculty of Education, highlights its relevance for the academic and school communities by promoting the articulation between teaching, research, extension, innovation and teacher training. The event Dialogues of Mathematics with Pedagogy (DIMA) emerged with the objective of highlighting the importance of integration between pedagogy and mathematics. Pedagogical teachers and mathematics graduates are responsible for teaching this area; However, in their initial training, there are gaps related to the mastery of mathematical content and the didactic-pedagogical dimensions, respectively.
In 2026, o XV DIMA broadens the debate by considering the 30th anniversary of Law of Guidelines and Bases of National Education (LDB No. 9,394/96), reflecting as a central document for the organization of Brazilian education, but also as an educational public policy. The full implementation of the legal assumptions of this document reveals, in these three decades, challenges in its implementation, especially in the face of regional inequalities and cultural, social and economic factors that impact the quality of Brazilian public education. In this context, the event is configured as a space for critical reflection and proposition of perspectives for the educational field.
Annual, <span style="font-size: 16px;">DIMA is aimed at students of Pedagogy and Mathematics Degree, teachers of Basic Education and Higher Education, teacher trainers and others interested in the relationship between mathematics teaching and pedagogy. In 2026, the theme will be: "LDB 30 YEARS: LIMITS, CHALLENGES AND PERSPECTIVES".
O GTERCOA/CNPq has the participation of students and teachers from all over the state of Ceará, as well as collaborators from other regions of Brazil and abroad, such as Portugal and Mozambique. The group includes researchers linked to the Graduate Program in Science and Mathematics Teaching (ENCIMA), the Graduate Program in Education (PPGE), the Doctoral Network in Teaching (RENOEN – IFCE Pole) and the Multimedia Research Laboratory of the Federal University of Ceará.
