Research and Application of Digital Fabrication Technologies in Architecture and Product Design

The use of digital fabrication for architecture and product design includes, besides additive manufacturing, several techniques that use form materialization as a way to enhance creativity, innovation, and new possibilities. PRONTO3D is a digital fabrication lab at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, where several activities, including teaching and research, guide students to acknowledge digital means as part of the design process.
