The presentation will introduce the role of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) in AM to help improve production effectiveness and, therefore, feasibility in industry. First, a new framework for measuring OEE in AM will be presented, which addresses the challenges of applying OEE to AM. Second, the impact of potential technological and operational improvements on the production losses in AM will be discussed, demonstrating the progress to date and future scope of AM in mainstream applications.
