About the event

The XIV Brazilian Micrometeorology Workshop, which will take place from 10/21 to 10/24/2025, will bring together approximately 400 participants, including researchers, graduate and undergraduate students, and professionals in the field. Since its first edition in December 1999, with about 60 participants, the workshop has grown steadily, reflecting the increased interest and research in micrometeorology in Brazil. In this new edition, the event aims to discuss theoretical and experimental methods and computer simulations on solutions to problems involving the phenomenon of turbulence in the lower atmosphere, with lectures and round tables by renowned international researchers from South America, North America and Europe, which will contribute significantly to the development of Brazilian micrometeorology and the strengthening of the international recognition of the country's research groups. In addition to the scientific discussions, the workshop will provide opportunities for the establishment of new scientific collaborations and the consolidation of existing ones, focusing on themes and applications related to the planetary boundary layer, being a valuable opportunity for the exchange of experiences and advancement of knowledge in the area.

Modality of Presentation of Accepted Papers and Norms for Presentation of Papers


Norms for the Presentation of Papers at the XIV Brazilian Workshop on Micrometeorology

All papers accepted for publication in the Annals of the XIV Brazilian Workshop of Micrometeorology will be presented during the event at the   ORAL or POSTER modalities.

Nas presentation sessions, in both modalities, the Scientific Committee of the XIV Brazilian Workshop on Micrometeorology will carry out the evaluation of the works to identify the works that will be selected for publication in the Journal Ciência e Natura (Qualis CAPES A3). More details about the Journal!!


Preferably, the presentations should follow the guidelines listed below:


Poster Presentation  Guidelines

- The poster should be prepared in portrait format (vertical).

- Recommended default size is 90 cm wide by 120 cm high.

- Use legible fonts, preferably in a minimum size of 24 points for the main text and 36 points for titles.

- As Oral presentations may be given in Portuguese, English or Spanish, according to the option of the presenting author. This same orientation It is valid for possible visual presentation materials.

- Include the authors' names, affiliations, and contact information (email).

- The poster should be organized in a logical way, with a clear section for introduction, methods, results and conclusions.

- The presenter must be present in the presentation section of the work;


Norms for Oral Presentation 

- Papers will be presented in oral sessions lasting up to 1.5 hours, each containing between 4 and 6 papers.

- The presentation of each work is limited to 15 min, being 12 min intended for presentation and 3 min for questions from the audience;

- The presenter must send the presentation in advance;

- Presentations should preferably be in PDF format (Portable Document Format), to avoid configuration problems in the time of presentation;

- The presenter must be present in advance of the presentation session of his/her work;

- In the rooms where the oral sessions will take place, it will be available for the presentations, multimedia projector (data show) with microcomputer.;
