The Brazilian Micrometeorology Workshop is a nationwide event that began in December 1999 with about 60 participants. Currently, the event involves approximately 250 congressmen, including researchers and graduate and undergraduate students and other professionals working in the area. The realization of the XIII Brazilian Workshop of Micrometeorology that aims to discuss theoretical, experimental methods and computer simulations that address solutions of different problems involving the phenomenon of turbulence in the lower atmosphere. In all editions there were lectures and participations of renowned foreign researchers working in South America, North America and Europe. These participations contributed in a fundamental way to the development of Brazilian micrometeorology and allowed the recognition, by the international community, of different Brazilian research groups. In addition, this development can be proven by the large number of articles published by Brazilian researchers in high-impact scientific journals. In addition, this workshop allows the establishment of new scientific collaborations and consolidates research collaborations on themes and applications related to the planetary boundary layer.

Standards for Presentation of Papers at the XIII Brazilian Workshop on Micrometeorology
All papers accepted for publication in the Annals of the XIII Brazilian Workshop on Micrometeorology
will be presented during the event in the ORAL or POSTER modalities .
In the presentation sessions, in both modalities, the Scientific Committee of the XIII Brazilian Workshop on Micrometeorology will evaluate the works to identify the works that will be selected for publication in the Revista Ciência e Natura. Preferably, presentations should follow the guidelines listed below:
Standards for Poster Presentation
style="margin-left: 25px;">- The poster must be prepared in portrait (vertical) format.
- Recommended default size is 90 cm wide by 120 cm high.
- Use readable fonts, preferably at a minimum size of 24 points for main text and 36 points for titles.
- Oral presentations may be made in Portuguese, English or Spanish, at the option of the presenting author. This same guidance holds true for possible visual presentation materials.
- Include author names, affiliations, and contact information (email).
- The poster should be organized in a logical way, with a clear section for introduction, methods, results and conclusions.
- The presenter must be present in the presentation section of the work;
Standards for Presentation in Oral Modality
- The papers will be presented in oral sessions with up to 1.5 h of duration, each containing between 4 and 6 works.
- The presentation of each work is limited to 15 min, with 12 min for presentation and 3 min for audience questions;
- The presenter must send the presentation in advance;
- Presentations should preferably be in PDF (Portable Document Format) format, to avoid configuration problems at the time of presentation;
- The presenter must be present in advance of the presentation session of his work;
- In the rooms where the oral sessions will take place will be available for presentations multimedia projector (data show) with microcomputer.;
The models for submission of work in the XIII Brazilian Workshop of Micrometeorology are available in latex, .docx and .odt formats. In each file are present the instructions with the rules for submission.
The papers accepted and presented at the event will be published in the form of a complete work in the Annals of the XIII Brazilian Workshop on Micrometeorology. In addition, the scientific committee will choose the best papers to be published in a special edition of Revista Ciência & Natura (Qualis A3).
