Vibrational Spectroscopy at the Nanoscale: Molecular Reactivity, Dynamics, and Stokes–Anti-Stokes Enhancement

Alexandre Brolo is a Professor of Chemistry at the University in Victoria, Canada. He did his BSc and MSc at the University of Sao Paulo supervised by Prof. Marcia Temperini. Then he moved for a PhD in Canada at Waterloo with Prof. Don Irish and a postdoc at Western Ontario with John Hepburn and Peter Norton. His research interest are in metallic nanostructures, particularly plasmonic materials, for applications in spectroscopy and biosensing. He is the recipient of the 2024 Herzberg Award from the Canadian Society for Analytical Science and Spectroscopy and the 2021 McBryde from the Canadian Society for Chemistry.
