The VI International Workshop on Chronic and Neglected Diseases of the Graduate Program in Adult Health (PPGSAD) of the Federal University of Maranhão is the continuation of a series of consolidated scientific events, considering the advances achieved in the field of research on chronic and neglected diseases.
The event is a strategic space for updating knowledge, discussing scientific advances, and disseminating research in the area, promoting integration between researchers, students, and health professionals nationally and internationally.
The workshop will enable the dissemination of research developed at the PPGSAD, as well as the strengthening and updating of the scientific knowledge of the academic community, especially in the context of the state of Maranhão.
The program will feature the presentation of scientific papers in the form of an electronic banner, with publication of proceedings with ISBN and DOI.
The purpose of the event is to expand the transfer of knowledge on Chronic Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) and neglected diseases, contributing to addressing public health challenges, especially in regions with greater social vulnerabilities.
In addition, scientific meetings fostered by support notices, such as those of FAPEMA, play a fundamental role in the development of science and the dissemination of knowledge, strengthening undergraduate and graduate programs and promoting regional scientific advancement.
