ABOUT THE EVENT
THE V EXHIBITION OF DIGITAL VIDEOS AND MATHEMATICS EDUCATION configures an unfolding of actions of the
extension projects "DIGITAL VIDEOS IN MATHEMATICS EDUCATION" and "DIGITAL VIDEOS AND MATHEMATICS EDUCATION", as well as the teaching project "USE OF
DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATED INTO PROTOTYPING AND PRODUCTION
OF MATHEMATICAL KNOWLEDGE", all developed within the scope of the Federal University of Roraima. In 2022-2023, these projects marked the Digital Technologies and
Mathematics Education – TEDIEM, which is linked to the Department of Mathematics of the University
Federal University of Roraima (DMAT-UFRR). These experiences lived with public school teachers and students, engaged in producing videos, were decisive for TEDIEM to invest time in this
proposal. Thus, with "feet on the ground", ideas and reflections were matured and, after glimpsing
possibilities, TEDIEM encouraged itself to leap beyond these experiences by submitting a
proposal for an event, of medium size and international scope, which was approved by CAPES
(PAEP Notice No. 37/2023). In this way, TEDIEM understood the importance of discussing
possibilities directed to the public school classroom in order to stimulate teachers
who teach Mathematics to explore mathematical, artistic and technological knowledge in their
work environments. Concomitantly with the V EXHIBITION OF DIGITAL VIDEOS AND MATHEMATICS EDUCATION, the XVIII MATHEMATICS WEEK will take place, celebrating another edition in which we share with the community the research and results of the various activities developed within the scope of the DMAT that brings together the Courses of Degree in Mathematics (Face-to-face), Degree in Mathematics at a Distance and Bachelor of Mathematics.
