The Group of Studies on Genetics and Plant Breeding “Ganho Genético” (Genetic Gain) invites undergraduate and graduate students and professionals in the area of Genetics and Plant Breeding and related areas to participate in the 5th International Symposium on Genetics and Plant Breeding which theme will be From Micro to Macro: Rethinking Sustainable Agriculture. The event will be held at the UENF Convention Center, from May 23 to 25, 2023.
The 5th International Symposium on Genetics and Plant Breeding is an event held in partnership with the Corteva Agriscience Company, and it is an opportunity for students, professionals, and specialists to discuss how plant breeding has acted to promote sustainable agriculture from the perspective of plant, microorganism and environment interaction within the most diverse areas, integrating multi sciences in the development of crops in the new challenging scenario of climate changes.
Certainly, with the bodies of scientists present at this event, great discussions will be raised, which will allow scientific advances in the frontier area of science. Update your knowledge, discuss new subjects, expand your contact list, and send your work! We are waiting for you at the 5th International Symposium on Genetics and Plant Breeding!

Abstracts that do not follow the guidelines or are not related to the areas of Genetics and Plant Breeding, Plant Genetic Resources and Omics will not be approved. Approved abstracts will be evaluated by experts from public and private institutions working in the fields of Genetics and Plant Breeding, Omics and Plant Genetic Resources.
Each abstract will be evaluated by three experts. A score from 0 to 10 will be given by each expert for each abstract. The final score will be the average of the three scores. The experts will evaluate the abstracts based on the following criteria:
Innovation in the concentration area
Level of the adequacy of the methodology
Clarity of the presented information
Importance of the presented scientific conclusion
AWARDING OF BEST WORKS
