Sustentare WIPIS 2024 is a scientific event of relevance
which takes place in November 2024, and aims to bring together
researchers, professors, technical and undergraduate students, and
graduates, professionals, and enthusiasts to discuss related issues
sustainability and management of water resources.
The organization of this event is the result of a collaboration between three
prominent institutions: the University of São Paulo (USP), the Pontifical University of São Paulo, the Pontifical University of São Paulo, the
Catholic University of Campinas (PUC-Campinas) and the Basin Agency
Hydrographic Plants of the Piracicaba, Capivari and Jundiaí Rivers (PCJ Basin Agency).
The consolidated experiences in the theme of the event built over the years
years in the three institutions are fundamental for the realization of Sustentare WIPIS
2024.
PUC-Campinas contributes through the Graduate Program in
Sustainability Program (PPGS) with research developed within the scope of the Master's Degree in
Sustainability and by Post-Doc students.
USP, represented by the School of Engineering of USP in São Carlos
(EESC), participates with two relevant graduate programs: the
Post-Graduation in the National Network for the Teaching of Environmental Sciences (PROFCIAMB)
and the Graduate Program in Hydraulics and Sanitation (PPGSHS).
PCJ Basin Agency is involved through the Working Group
Indicators and Monitoring of the Technical Board for the Protection and Conservation of
Natural Resources (CT-RN) and the Technical Chamber for the Integration and Dissemination of
Research and Technologies (CT-ID).
Sustentare WIPIS, since its first edition, has been an event
for the discussion of scientific-technological production related to sustainability
involving indicators, assessment and responsible management of water resources,
providing an environment for the exchange of knowledge, experiences and
innovative practices from Brazil and abroad.
