About the event

SITEM is the International Symposium on Technologies in Mathematics Education, which will reach its fifth edition in 2025. This year, the event will be held at the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS), in Campo Grande, Brazil, and is being organized by the Research Group on Digital Technologies, Mobility, and Mathematics Education (TeDiMEM).

The event aims to promote dialogue among different research efforts in Mathematics Education dedicated to the study of digital technologies and the transformations that accompany their integration into educational processes. The goal is to gather contributions from various educational and research institutions in Brazil and abroad, fostering a space for exchange and collective reflection.

Guidelines for Authors

At the 5th SITEM, submissions will be accepted in the formats of Full Article or Simple Summary, as follows:

Full article: intended for completed or ongoing research that presents theoretical reflections, partial or final relevant results. Papers submitted in this modality will be presented in sessions of scientific communications.

Short Abstract: intended for research in the initial phase, under development or already concluded, as well as experience reports linked to teaching practice, extension projects, training processes or other experiences related to the scope of the event. Papers submitted in this modality will be presented in the form of poster.

Submission Guidelines

Works can be written in Portuguese, English or Spanish.

All authors of a given paper must be properly registered for the 5th SITEM in order for the text to be evaluated and, if approved, presented and published in the event proceedings.

Paper Writing Guidelines

The structure of the text varies according to the type of submission. It is also recommended to consult the specific templates available for each modality:

Full Paper: between 8 and 12 pages, including references.

Short Abstract: between 250 and 500 words.

Note: All authors must be registered for the event at the time of submission.
