Event History

O VI Ibero-American Congress of Education, Society and Culture, o IV International Colloquium on Education and Interculturality and <strong style="text-align: justify; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 13px;">XIV Exhibition Body, Education and Culture meet in 2025 in another joint edition, reaffirming the commitment to scientific dialogue and the production of critical and plural knowledge around the themes of education, interculturality, ancestry and sustainability.

O Ibero-American Congress of Education, Society and Culture had its first edition in September 2018, from a joint initiative between the Catholic University of Manizales (UCM), in Colombia, and the University of Salamanca (USAL), in Spain. This inaugural milestone celebrated USAL's 800th anniversary, highlighting its trajectory of academic excellence and its significant contributions to the educational development of Ibero-American peoples.

The second edition of the Congress took place in September 2021, virtually, and had as its central theme "The role of the university in Ibero-America in the face of the challenge of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals". The meeting sought to reflect and disseminate university experiences focused on the educational challenges proposed by the United Nations (UN) 2030 Agenda.

O International Colloquium on Education and Interculturality (CIEDINTER) began in 2016, in the city of Florianópolis, through an articulation between the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) and the Regional University of Blumenau (FURB). In 2019, its second edition was held at the Faculty of Education of USAL, in Salamanca, with the theme "Interculturality and Immigration: impacts and challenges to education". The Colloquium established itself as a space for the exchange of studies and research on migratory processes and their educational implications, with an emphasis on a critical approach to interculturality. The organization of this event had the collaboration of several Ibero-American research groups and academic associations.

A Mostra Corpo, Educação e Cultura reaches its fourteenth edition in 2025, consolidated as a space for expression, reflection and sharing of practices and knowledge that articulate the body, art, culture and educational processes. Focusing on diversity and the multiple languages of education, the Exhibition has promoted, over the years, the dialogue between academic research and cultural experiences, especially those linked to the identities and territorialities of Latin American peoples.

In 2025, under the theme "Intercultural education, ancestry and sustainability", the event will be held virtually on August 21 and 22, based at Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso (UFMT), in Cuiabá. The proposal is to bring together researchers, students and education professionals from different Ibero-American countries to reflect on the challenges and potentialities of an education committed to the recognition of ancestry, respect for cultural differences and the construction of sustainable practices for the future.

This meeting is, therefore, a space for dialogue between different experiences and knowledge, contributing to the strengthening of public education policies and to the valorization of a critical, ethical human education committed to social justice.
