The International Symposium on Animal Biology of Reproduction (ISABR) is a biennial international event established in 2006 by the Brazilian College of Animal Reproduction, dedicated to basic research in animal reproduction, including cellular, molecular, and biochemical aspects. Over the years, ISABR has become the leading scientific meeting in this field in South America, bringing together researchers from multiple countries.
Supported by a strong national research landscape, with more than 40 CNPq-registered groups working in animal and human reproductive biology, the region offers an excellent environment for an international scientific event. The XI ISABR will host internationally recognized speakers addressing innovative topics such as reproductive control in domestic and wild species, omics approaches in ovarian physiology, molecular regulation of oocyte maturation, extracellular vesicles, pregnancy biomarkers, and advances in in vitro embryo production.
A pre-event course on Laboratory Animal Handling and Reproduction, organized in partnership with the Brazilian Society of Laboratory Animal Science, will also be offered. With a strong educational focus, ISABR 2026 will promote the training of undergraduate and graduate students and early-career researchers through lectures, oral presentations, poster sessions, and academic interaction activities. Student-led research will be prioritized for oral presentations, fostering high-quality scientific discussion in an international setting.
The event will take place in Brasília (DF), selected for its infrastructure and potential for scientific integration.
