The II International Congress of Researchers in Jewish Studies will be held from September 15 to 19, 2025, in a hybrid format, with face-to-face opening and closing activities at the Faculty of Philosophy, Languages and Literature, and Human Sciences at USP and virtual thematic panels.
Promoted by the Department of Oriental Languages and the Graduate Program in Foreign Languages and Translation at FFLCH-USP, with executive support from the Center for Jewish Studies at USP (CEJ-USP), the event aims to bring together researchers from different levels and institutions, from Brazil and abroad, who work in the field of Jewish Studies.
The objective of the Congress is to promote academic exchange, encourage the dissemination of ongoing research and strengthen links between scholars in the area. The event is aimed at undergraduate and graduate students, professors, independent researchers and those interested in the multiple dimensions of Jewish culture, history, languages, philosophy and literatures.
We invite everyone to submit paper proposals by July July 31, 2025, by this platform. Papers must be related to one of the following strands of Jewish Studies:
– Jewish and Hebrew literature
– Jewish languages (Hebrew, Yiddish, Ladino)
– Hebrew Bible Studies
– Contemporary Judaism
– Jewish philosophy and culture
– Jewish history
– Jewish Education
Certificates will be issued to registered communicators and listeners. The activities of the congress will be broadcast and later made available on the CEJ-USP and FFLCH-USP channels.
