About the event

The II International Seminar on Innovation and Research in Education and Letters (SIIPEL/GPieford/Felcs/UFRN): training and professional development in emerging contexts aims to promote academic dialogue and the socialization of research aimed at teacher training, educational innovation and professional development in emerging contexts. The event is linked to the Research Group on Educational Innovation, Training and Professional Development (G-Pieford) and seeks to strengthen scientific production and the exchange of knowledge in the areas of Education and Letters.

The program of the II International Seminar on Innovation and Research in Education and Letters (SIIPEL/GPieford/Felcs/UFRN) will be organized in two complementary modalities. The Virtual Edition will take place in the week of August 17 to 21, 2026, with academic activities carried out in a digital environment, expanding the participation of researchers and students from different regions and countries. The In-Person Edition will be held from August 24 to 28, 2026, in a multi-campus format at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. On August 24 and 25, the activities will take place in Currais Novos, at the Faculty of Engineering, Letters and Social Sciences of Seridó (Felcs/UFRN). August 26 will be reserved for participants to travel to Natal, when a cultural activity aimed at academic integration and the appreciation of regional culture will also be offered, by adhesion of the participants. Finally, on August 27 and 28, the face-to-face program will be held in Natal, at the Central Campus of UFRN, consolidating the integrative and collaborative character of the event between different institutional spaces of the university.

There will be registration for the submission of abstracts (simple, expanded and research projects) for socialization of the works, with publication expected in the annals of the event. It should be noted that, to cover the costs of submitting the works, the platform even charges an amount of R$ 16.98 (the values are exclusively managed by Even).

With an international character, the seminar will bring together undergraduate and graduate students, researchers, professors and members of the academic community interested in discussing pedagogical practices, teacher training processes and contemporary perspectives of innovation in education. The program will feature conferences, round tables and sessions for the presentation of scientific papers, promoting a space for reflection, debate and collective construction of knowledge.

The event will have the participation of national and international researchers, especially from Latin American countries, such as Colombia, Mexico and Panama, contributing to the strengthening of the internationalization of research and academic training. The initiative also seeks to encourage the participation of undergraduate students in scientific production and expand collaboration networks between higher education institutions.
