After the great success of the I Congress on Trauma and International Medical Emergencies (COTREM), which brought together professionals, students and specialists from different regions, establishing itself as a milestone for scientific discussion and professional development, a new edition emerges, more robust and innovative than ever.
In 2026, the event will take on an unprecedented dimension as it is held place in conjunction with the XXVIII Brazilian Congress of Trauma Leagues (CoLT), bringing together two major initiatives in a single scientific meeting. This integration strengthens the exchange of knowledge among academic leagues, healthcare professionals, and national and international experts, expanding the reach and impact of the event.
The II Congress on Trauma and International Medical Emergencies (COTREM) reaffirms its commitment to healthcare innovation, technical advancement, and the continuous improvement of care in critical situations. Trauma remains to be one of the leading challenges in global public health, with a significant impact on mortality, lomg-term disability and healthcare costs, making it essential to train well-qualified professionals who are up to date and prepared to make rapid and effective decisions.
This joint edition is organized by professors and students from the University of Rio Verde – Formosa Campus, in partnership with CoBraLT, and aims to provide a high-level scientific environment, focused on debate, exchange of experiences and dissemination of evidence-based practices.
The II COTREM and the XXVIII CoLT represent a space for the collective construction of knowledge, fostering innovation and strengthening trauma and emergency care in Brazil and worldwide.
