About GEIGS First General Assembly

The Gender Equity Initiative in Global Surgery (GEIGS) is an organization whose mission is to promote gender equity in the surgery, obstetrics, and anesthesia workforce worldwide through research, advocacy, and mentorship since 2018.

For 2020, GEIGS is having its First General Assembly in order to:

1. Discuss GEIGS initiatives and operations with our general membership;

2. Develop capacity for our general members regarding the future of gender equity in global surgery;

3. Develop capacity for our Steering Committee and general members regarding how we can incorporate Diversity, Equity, and Justice into our initiatives.

In case you are interested in gender equity and global surgery, GEIGS is definitely waiting you on this remarkable event! Please also take a moment to review our code of conduct.
