Since 1992, the People's Summit has stood as a cry of resistance, an echo of the voices silenced by inequality.
In this space of struggle and hope, indigenous, traditional, and peripheral communities – those that have contributed the least to the climate crisis, but who suffer the most from its impacts – find the opportunity to be heard.
While the official COPs continue to negotiate numbers and goals, the Summit talks about lives, rights and territories. Here, we build a future rooted in social and environmental justice, proving that our struggle is as necessary as it is urgent.
The Summit is a call to action for a just and supportive transition, where no one is left behind.
Since August 2023, we have been building together proposals that reflect the strength and realities of communities that are often on the sidelines of decisions.
In Belém, the Amazon becomes not only a biome, but a powerful symbol of resistance and the fight for climate justice.
This is a space where traditional practices are respected and the voices of those who inhabit the forest are raised.
