Call for Papers for the
First International Congress of Researchers in Jewish Studies 2023

PRESENTATION
We invite researchers in the field of Jewish Studies who wish to present their work and share their research to participate in the I International Congress of Researchers in Jewish Studies 2023, event promoted by the Graduate Program in Jewish and Arabic Studies, linked to the Department of Oriental Languages of FFLCH-USP and by LETRA – Graduate Program in Foreign Languages and Translation, with executive support from the Center for Jewish Studies of USP (CEJ). This international congress succeeds and extends the ten congresses already held at national level.
Our goal is to foster dialogue between areas related to Jewish languages, philosophy, history, religion, education, culture and literature, providing the exchange of ideas among undergraduates, master's students, doctoral students, postdoctoral fellows and other researchers, nationally and internationally.
The Congress will be held in a hybrid format - - with face-to-face opening and closing events and virtual themed tables -, being a privileged space for meeting, study and reflection.
Certificates will be issued to registered communicators and listeners.
COMMUNICATIONS
The theme of the communications is of free choice, as long as they are linked to the following strands of Jewish Studies:
I) Jewish and Hebrew literature;
II) Jewish languages;
III) studies of the Hebrew Bible;
IV) contemporary Judaism;
V) Jewish philosophy and culture;
VI) Jewish history;
VII) Jewish education.
This criterion will be observed as a necessary condition for the acceptance of the work.

Approved abstracts will receive an email notifying the acceptance.
SCHEDULE
Aug 10th,2023 – call for papers and opening of registrations.
Oct 1st,2023 – deadline for submission of the registration form and abstract of the presentation.
Nov 6-9th,2023 - realization of the congress.

PUBLICATION
We invite communicators to submit their papers to the Journal Cadernos de Língua e Literatura Hebraica (CLLH).
The deadline for submission of articles is until Dec 31st, 2023.
The rules for publication can be found on the website of the Cadernos de Língua e Literatura Hebraica (CLLH), under "Submissions", at the address: https://www.revistas.usp.br/cllh/about/submissions.
The articles submitted will be subject to the approval of the editorial committee of the journal.
