The Conference on Intelligent and Sustainable Systems aims to be an annual conference held in Sorocaba, to strengthen ties between academia, government, and local industry, stimulate cutting-edge research in the region, and attract national and international partnerships. Its central objective is to bring together different workshops related to research that advance discussions on the state-of-the-art of emerging technologies and their applications to the major environmental challenges of our time.
During the event, there will be presentations of scientific papers, both in oral sessions and poster sessions. The proceedings of the event will be published later (we are currently in negotiations with Springer for publication in its "Communications in Computer and Information Science" (CCIS) series, where we have already obtained partial approval, with full approval of publication contingent on the quality of the top 5 papers accepted at the conference and the volume of papers received).
The submission of papers is open until April 30, 2026 (hard deadline, no extensions), and notification of acceptance will be on June 30, 2026. Papers should be submitted in PDF format, considering double-blind review, using Springer's CCIS template, with a length between 12 and 15 pages (including references).

The event will take place between September 29th and October 2nd at the Sorocaba Technological Park and will be organized by São Paulo State University (Unesp) and the University of Sorocaba (Uniso). It will feature several workshops:
- Next.AI, an event about Artificial Intelligence and its applications in cognitive robotics and climate resilience. It will include lectures, roundtables, mini-courses, oral and poster presentations, and a hackathon. Organized by LINCE (Unesp's academic AI league), with support from LUNAR and LAMAR (respectively the academic robotics and climate resilience leagues of Unesp);
- WPGEE, a workshop on advances in the field of electrical engineering and its sub-areas, organized by the Postgraduate Program in Electrical Engineering from the Sorocaba and São João da Vista campuses of Unesp;
-"Integração de Saberes Ambientais", a workshop with contemporary discussions related to the environment and technical and social issues surrounding the solutions needed to mitigate and resolve its problems. Organized by the Postgraduate Program in Environmental Sciences at Unesp;
-POSMAT, a workshop on advances in the field of materials science, organized by the postgraduate program.
