About the event

The Carbon 2026 Congress will be held from November 16 to 19, 2026, as an integrated meeting of three events: the 6th Latin American Congress on Carbon Materials (ABCarb), the 4th National Meeting of the Graphene Forum and the INCT Meeting Nanocarbon and 2D Materials.

It is an international congress, with Latin American coverage, dedicated to research and applications of carbon, graphene and 2D materials. UFMG will host the event, which has the mobilization of several institutions, in a transversal initiative that integrates academia and industry.

The following act as co-organizers and supporters: ABCarb, INCT of Nanocarbon and 2D Materials, INMETRO, CTNano/UFMG, CDTN-Granioter, Latin American Carbon Federation, SENAI (especially SENAI-CIT and CIMATEC), SAE and MackGraphe.

The program will include plenary lectures bringing together all participants, focusing on the state of the art of science, technology, regulation and industrial applications of strategic carbon materials. In addition, each event will have its own agenda, dedicated to the most relevant discussions in its area.

A joint poster session will integrate the three initiatives, promoting interaction between participating communities and the exchange of results and experiences.
