THIRD ADVANCED SCHOOL ON NANOMEDICINE
May 11, 2022
Nanomedicine is an interdisciplinary field that uses nanotechnology for prevention, monitoring, diagnosis and/or treatment of diseases. Several types of nanostructures have been used for such applications spanning from organic to inorganic materials, where at least one of its dimensions is found at the nanometer scale. Covid-19 m-RNA vaccines are examples of nanomedicines. The researcher of the Physics Graduate Program of the Institute of Physics and CNanoMed of the Federal University of Goiás, Prof. Dr. Andris Bakuzis, has the pleasure to announce the Third Advanced School on Nanomedicine.
The virtual event will occur on May 11 of 2022 and will have four minicourses given by experts in the field.
Program:
Dr. Daniel Jaque – Universidad Autónoma de Madrid – Spain
Minicourse: Nanoparticles for bioimaging and biosensing
9 am - 10 am (BRT)
Dr. Kagayaki Kuroda – Tokai University – Japan
Minicourse: Magnetic resonance thermometry
10 am - 11 am (BRT)
Dr. John Bischof – University of Minnesota – USA
Minicourse: ATP-Bio, a new center using nanomedicine to preserve biological systems
11 am - 12 pm (BRT)
Dr. Ashish Rajan – Oklahoma State University – USA
Minicourse: Role of nanomedicines in cancer immunotherapy
12 pm - 1 pm (BRT)
The event will be live-streamed through CNanoMed's YouTube Channel.
Besides the school, we are also organizing the Theranostic Nanomedicine Workshop during the Brazilian Breast Cancer Symposium. Full program can be found here.
