Summary
Due to the search for sustainable alternatives for energy generation and its technologies, in recent years there has been great progress in the advancement of new photovoltaic devices and in the discovery of new materials that can provide, through studies, increased efficiency and reduced production costs. . The introduction of non-fulerene acceptors in the manufacture of organic photovoltaic devices reached an efficiency of more than 18% due to better light absorption and adjustable electronic affinities, according to the literature. It is noteworthy that the aromatic main chain of the used materials is the same and the alkyl branch has little effect on the conjugation of p electrons of the main chain, so that the absorption spectra almost overlap. The reasons for its high efficiency are not fully understood and are the focus of this work. In this work, non-fulerene organic semiconductors known as PM6 and Y6 were used to manufacture nanostructured films using Langmuir-Schaefer (LS) techniques. Langmuir techniques have shown to be very promising for the production of thin films compared to the others, as they offer some advantages such as material control and molecular ordering of film thickness. The control of the structure can lead to an improvement in the properties of the films, increasing the performance of optoelectronic devices, in which the organization of the material is directly related to the molecular organization of the processed material. Through these studies, it was possible to obtain information related to the structure of organic thin films, using electrical characterization measures, such as electrical resistance, conductivity, photoconductivity, impedance and dark-celiv, in order to improve the understanding of the optimization of these materials based on the Langmuir targeting techniques in a photovoltaic application, highlighting an increase of three orders of magnitude in the electric current when the film was subjected to an irradiance similar to solar radiation (AM 1.5).
