Summary
Since 2000, with the Nobel Prize in Chemistry awarded jointly to Alan J. Heeger, Alan G. MacDiarmid and Hideki Shirakawa [1], organic semiconductors have been studied around the world by companies and academy considering its advantages as low manufacturing coast and light weight. This kind of devices can have high transparence and mechanical flexibility [1 -2]. Many studies are aimed to Organic Light Emitting Diodes (OLEDs) [3], Organic Photovoltaics (OPVs) [4] and Organic Thin-Film Transistors (OTFTs) [5]. Currently, OLEDs state-of-art shows a significant maturity, being directed to several commercial applications such as TV screens and mobile devices (smartphones, tablets and wearables in general). However, there are still many aspects to be improved in development of transparent, flexible and white light generation devices [6]. On the other hand, OPVs, despite having achieved efficiency close to 10% in recent studies [7], still show lower efficiency values than traditional solar cells silicon based, which has an efficiency currently between 15-22%. Additionally, OPVs have intrinsic characteristics such a wide range of materials, which can be used in several thin-film architecture types providing a perspective of a significant efficiency increase. Specifically, in this work, data from OLEDs with rare earth complexes (Europium and Terbium) and third generation OPVs with bulk heterojunction with active layer of poly(3-hexylthiophene-2,5-diyl - P3HT with a modified Fullerene as [6,6]-Phenyl-C61 butyric acid methyl ester) will be analyzed. Thus, this work is aimed on OLEDs and/or OPVs data treatment and its analysis employing data science, models and programing procedures developed in Python and others specifics software in order provide a quick response with curves and calculated parameters to feedback accurate information to understand, in a better way, the physical and chemical mechanisms of the degradation process to improve organic devices performance. Besides, a statistic process can be embedded to improve and compare a massive data collected from new and old devices using their electrical and morphological characterizations data. References 1.
