Resumo
The implementation of Green Corridors is one of the urban afforestation strategies used to connect different patches of the landscape, to promote ecosystem services and to improve the quality of life of citizens. In Sobral, a city located in the Brazilian Caatinga biome, the Green Corridors Project, a result of the Sobral Afforestation Plan (PAS), planted approximately 12 km of roads in its first phase, with a forecast of more kilometers in its second phase. This work aims to evaluate the progression of urban comfort gains resulting from the project implementation in the city, using geographic information platforms and parametric modeling to simulate the air temperature and surface temperature metrics in tree canopy growth scenarios, with every five years, from 2020 to 2040.
