Resumo
In view of the disordered densification, characteristic of many Brazilian cities, and consequently the increase in vulnerable contexts in large cities Brazilians, research is carried out on Local Economic Development (LED) in these contexts. having the community of 'Confisco', located in the Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte (RMBH) as a study of case. Objectified investigate in what ways Design can facilitate this development. The case study was used as a methodological support, in addition to the application of the tool Holistic Relief, with the aim of identifying the social actors involved, understanding the territory, its dynamics and relationships, becoming a contribution to point out methodologies appropriate to the context, of the process, it was possible to list devices aimed at improving the quality of life in the territory.
