Resumo

REDE PARASITOLOGIA ONLINE is a collaborative project that was created in response to the demand from professors and researchers across various Brazilian institutions, all affiliated with the Brazilian College of Veterinary Parasitology. It emerged as a collaborative effort to produce teaching materials and exchange experiences during the emergency remote teaching period imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Initially focused on the development of audiovisual content, the project quickly evolved into an interactive digital platform that integrates teaching, research, and outreach. The platform serves as both a repository of educational resources and a collaborative environment for faculty members, undergraduate, and graduate students. As its activities progressed, the Network expanded its scope by fostering the exchange of experiences, promoting active teaching methodologies, and supporting the collective construction of knowledge in parasitology. This work has been developed with an interdisciplinary approach and a strong connection to the One Health concept. A key milestone in the Network’s development was the participation of its coordinators in the 30th Conference of the World Association for the Advancement of Veterinary Parasitology (WAAVP), held in 2025 in Curitiba, Brazil. The event brought together experts from numerous countries and provided an excellent opportunity to present REDE’s initiatives, highlighting its potential as an innovative tool for teaching parasitology. As a direct outcome of this increased international visibility, there has been growing demand for an English version of REDE’s website. The goal is to broaden access to the content produced and to strengthen communication with the global scientific community. In this context, the internationalization of REDE PARASITOLOGIA ONLINE represents a strategic step toward its consolidation and expansion. Looking ahead, key priorities include establishing international inter-institutional partnerships, producing bilingual content, incorporating foreign collaborators, and enhancing scientific and educational exchange. Thus, REDE PARASITOLOGIA ONLINE stands out as a promising initiative that promotes innovative, collaborative, and globalized education in parasitology, contributing to the democratization of knowledge and the advancement of science across different contexts.
