The Latin American Association of Dentistry for Special Patients (ALOPE) brings together the Scientific Associations of Dentistry for Special Patients from several Latin American countries, with the purpose of promoting professional updating, debate and exchange of experiences and knowledge. In addition, ALOPE encourages research, the development of public policies and the training of professionals in dentistry and related areas aimed at serving people with disabilities.
In 2025, between September 25th and 27th, Rio de Janeiro (RJ) will host the 8th edition of the Latin American Congress of Dentistry for Special Patients, an event organized by the Brazilian Association of Dentistry for Special Patients (ABOPE). Founded in 1979, ABOPE has the mission of bringing together professionals dedicated to the care of people with disabilities, promoting the exchange of experiences and knowledge in the area. In 2017, ABOPE organized the 5th edition of ALOPE in Natal (RN), reaching the largest face-to-face audience so far, with 505 participants.
The congress will feature the participation of renowned international national speakers, offering a comprehensive scientific program.
