1st ABM Mini-Course at UnB
The Political Economy Group of UnB (EP-UnB) and the Young Scholar Initiative (YSI) are organizing the 1st ABM mini-course at the UnB Department of Economics, which will be held in-person from August 12th to 16th in the computer lab of FACE-UnB.
The aim of the course is to provide young academics with the main analytical and computational elements of ABM, covering topics such as economic complexity, structural change, economic development, monetary economics, and environmental economics. Additionally, participants will receive training in the use of LSD software, which is used for numerical simulations.
The 1st ABM Mini-Course at UnB is organized in cooperation with the UnB Graduate Program in Economics (PPGECO/UnB) and will feature professors Andrea Roventini (Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies, Pisa) and Marcelo Pereira (UNICAMP). The course will focus on using ABM as a tool for analyzing developed and developing economies.
Registration is free and will remain open from July 1st to July 30th or as long as there are available spots (max. 20).
