About

We are delighted to welcome you to 7th Assembly of the International Motor Development Research Consortium (I-MDRC 7), which will take place October 29–31, 2026, Santa Catarina, Brazil.

With the theme “From Mechanisms to Practice: Advancing Motor Development Knowledge Across the Lifespan”, this event will bring together scientists and practitioners from different, yet adjacent, (research) fields focusing on the challenges and strengths of motor development and beyond.

We aim to share knowledge and expertise on (motor) development in infants, children, adolescents, adults and elderly, from a holistic perspective, including motor, cognitive, socio-emotional, educational, health, and environmental perspectives.

We look forward to contributions on typical development, DCD, disabilities, rehabilitation, and other neurodevelopmental conditions, and hope to welcome scholars, therapists, psychologists, pediatricians, teachers, movement scientists, families, and patients eager to share their knowledge and lived experiences to improve the lives of each developing individual.

Registration fees are lower for I-MDRC members.
Only I-MDRC members may submit an abstract.

Registration Discount for Eligible Countries

Participants residing in low- and middle-income countries automatically receive a 70% discount on the registration fee!

How the discount works:

The discount is applied automatically during the registration process.

Eligibility is determined based on the country of residence, identified through the IP address at the time of registration.

No promotional code is required.

Important:

Participants must click on “Apply coupon” during the registration process. Once applied, the registration fee will be automatically updated to reflect the discounted amount.
If the system does not automatically apply the discount, participants should contact the event organizers before completing the payment.
IMDRC members/associates are entitled to reduced registration fees, which are lower than the standard non-member rates. Membership benefits are applied according to the selected registration category.

We strongly encourage participants to stay at the official conference hotel, as it is the conference venue, offers very competitive rates, and allows us to keep everyone together throughout the event.

Hotel Booking Notice

Due to the holiday period, the hotel’s online booking system is currently limited to fixed holiday packages, which cannot be modified on the public website.

To support IMDRC participants, the hotel will shortly provide a dedicated email address and phone number for conference attendees, allowing reservations outside the holiday packages with flexible dates.
