The Graduate Program in Society and Culture in the Amazon (PPGSCA) at the Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM) is honored to present the 7th International Seminar on Society and Culture in the Amazon (SISCULTURA), a biennial event that brings together researchers, academics, and national and international experts to promote dialogue and the exchange of ideas on the contemporary challenges facing the Amazon region.
The main objective of the 7th SISCULTURA is to foster academic debates and present research findings in an interdisciplinary field, with the aim of exploring traditional and innovative solutions to socio-environmental issues. To achieve its objectives, the event will feature a diverse program consisting of lectures, roundtables, workshops, mini-courses, cultural activities, and presentations of papers in Working Groups (WGs).
Proposal submissions must be made exclusively through Google Forms, available at https://forms.gle/zXHnxtNmi3UcZLVk8. Participants must carefully follow the guidelines and deadlines set forth in the call for proposals. Registration fees must be paid exclusively via PIX, using the key siscultura@ufam.edu.br. After payment is confirmed, proof of payment must be submitted through the same online form.
The seminar will be held in person at the Institute of Philosophy, Humanities, and Social Sciences (IFCHS) of the Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM), in partnership with the State University of Amazonas (UEA), from November 23 to 27, 2026.
