The National Seminar on Forest Fire Prevention and Combat seeks to foster the exchange of knowledge and cooperation between different actors for the development of effective strategies for the protection and conservation of the environment.
Objectives:
- Present current studies on environmental factors in the face of climate change and the anthropogenic pressures generated by population growth and disordered land use and occupation;
- Present and discuss emerging technologies, geoprocessing tools, early warning systems, and innovations to improve wildfire prevention and response;
- Discuss combat techniques and tactics in different environments and with alternative approaches;
- Discuss strategies for suppressing forest fires, environmental legislation and investigation of occurrences;
- Improve the implementation of the Incident Command System in the face of large occurrences and the International Cooperation Systems.
