h1 dir="ltr" style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt; font-size: 12pt; line-height: 1.38; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); white-space-collapse: preserve; text-align: center;">We are pleased to announce the realization of the 1st Brazilian Symposium on Performance Science, which will take place in person at the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB), in João Pessoa (PB), between August 27-30, 2026, in partnership with Brazilian Artist''''s Health Network (RBSA).
Performance Science is currently configured as a strategic and interdisciplinary scientific field dedicated to understanding how individuals and collectives carry out complex activities in real contexts of education, work, artistic creation, health, leadership and sport. It is a domain that integrates knowledge from the arts, psychology, medicine, cognitive sciences, physical education, management and related areas, with the aim of promoting excellent performance associated with health, well-being and the sustainability of professional practices.
As the first structured national event dedicated specifically to Performance Science in Brazil, the symposium seeks to consolidate this emerging field, strengthen national and international research networks, and promote qualified dialogue between scientific production, academic training, and professional practice.
The program will include master conferences, interdisciplinary tables, scientific communications sessions, practical workshops and conference concerts.
We invite the academic and professional community to submit original and high-quality work in all areas related to Performance Science.

Submission mode
The 1st Brazilian Symposium on Performance Science will accept papers exclusively in the following modalities:
- Oral communication (15 minutes) with discussion at the end of the session.
Papers must present original, completed or ongoing research of an empirical, theoretical, methodological or applied nature, related to the area of Performance Science.

- Abstract up to 300 words (excluding references)
- Include short list of references

- The abstract must not contain authors'''' identification
- Self-citations must be written in the third person
Participants who have their abstracts approved and present their work at the event may be invited to submit their full papers for publications with ISBN, such as book chapters or articles in a thematic dossier. Authors interested in participating in these publication possibilities must express interest at the time of submission of the abstract.
